Entering a dog
Entering is a four-step wizard: pick the dogs, pick the events, check the total, pay. The steps are shown across the top and you can go back to any of them until you confirm.
Before you start
Two things save time later. Your details should be complete — the entry form uses them — and the dogs you want to enter should already be in your account, with the right birth dates.
Have the documents to hand as files on the device you are using: at the very least the vaccination record. You can upload them during the entry, but only if they are within reach.
Starting an entry
From the home page, press REGISTER DOGS. The shows with open entries are listed alongside, each with its dates and its last closing date.
1 — Select dogs
Your dogs are listed with their photo, breed, birth date, microchip and pedigree. Beside each one, four indicators: pedigree, vaccination record, champion title and working certificate.
A green tick means the document is there. A red cross means it is missing. Greyed-out means it does not apply to that dog.
Click a red cross and a small window opens to upload the file.
Pick the file and press proceed. The cross turns into a tick and you carry on. Nothing has to be abandoned and started again.
Choose the dogs you are entering and press next.
2 — Select events
The shows are listed with their events. A show may have more than one — a national day on Saturday and an international one on Sunday — and each is entered separately: tick the ones you want.
Under each event the admitted groups are shown with their ceilings — group 01 (max 200) - breeds: all — so you can see before choosing whether your breed is in and how much
room is left.
Then, for each dog you selected:
class is a dropdown, and it is the important choice. It offers only the classes the dog
is old enough for, and it shows the full price of each — Junior from 9 to 18 months (full price: 22,00 €). A class with no price shown is one this event does not run.
owner/handler is the name of whoever will take the dog into the ring, printed in the catalog and called at the ring. It is not necessarily you.
mobile phone for SMS is where the show sends messages on the day: ring changes, delays, the call to the ring. Give a number that will be switched on and in your pocket.
The breeding group checkbox authorizes the dog to compete in the breeding group of its kennel.
Press next when every dog has a class.
What to check before going on
The class, most of all. Age classes have hard boundaries and the application only offers what the birth date allows, but Open, Work and Champion overlap — and a dog entered in the wrong one of those is judged in the wrong company.
Then the event: on a two-day weekend it is easy to enter Saturday twice and miss Sunday altogether.
The next chapter covers step three, where the extras and the total appear, and step four, where the entry is confirmed and paid.
