Registration and first access

You need an account before you can enter a dog in anything. It takes a couple of minutes and you only do it once: the same account works for every show run by that organization, year after year.

Creating the account

Open the address of the show organizer's DogShow and you land on the public page. On the right, the shows with open entries; in the middle, two buttons.

  1. Press REGISTRATION.
  2. Type your email address.
  3. Press Proceed.

Confirming your email address

No password is asked for, and none is sent. DogShow emails you an access link instead: open it and you finish the registration from there.

If nothing arrives within a few minutes, look in the spam folder. If it is not there either, the address was probably mistyped — start again and read it back before pressing Proceed.

Use an address you will still be reading next season. It is the name of your account, it is where the entry confirmations and the payment instructions go, and it is the only way back in if you forget your password.

Completing your details

Once you are in, fill in your details before anything else. The entry form will ask for them anyway, and they are printed on the entry document.

Press the account icon at the top right and choose settings.

The required fields are the ones an organizer needs in order to write to you or to send you a catalog: first name, last name, mobile phone, e-mail, address, zip code, city and district. The mobile number is not decoration — the show may send ring information by SMS on the day.

Underneath, in optional data for any refunds, there is room for BIC/SWIFT and a bank account. They serve the exceptional case in which an organizer pays money back by transfer. They are not the ordinary route: an entry you have paid and then have cancelled comes back as credit with that organizer, not as a payment to your account — see Entries and results. Leave them empty if you prefer; nothing else depends on them.

Press Proceed to save.

Protecting the account

The same page carries Enable 2FA by email. With it on, signing in asks for a code sent to your address as well as your password. Your account holds your dogs' papers and your payment history, so it is worth the extra step.

Next to it, the language selector changes the language of the application for you alone.
