Entries and results
Once an entry is made, everything about it lives under my entries: what you entered, what you owe, and afterwards what your dog was given.
Your entries
my entries in the top bar lists them, with the show, the dogs, the amount and whether the payment has been recorded.
Open one and you get the whole entry: your details, the dogs with their class, price and handler, the extras you bought, the amount, the payment reference and the entry document.
The document is the same PDF that came by email.
Two things on it are worth checking the day it arrives, because they are cheap to fix now and expensive to fix later: the class of each dog, and the spelling of the names that will be printed in the catalog.
If the payment does not show
A bank transfer is not recorded by DogShow. Somebody in the office matches it by hand against the payment reference, which takes a day or two after the money actually moves.
So an entry that still says unpaid the morning after you paid is normal. One that still says it a week later is worth an email — with the reference, the date and the amount, which is everything they need to find it.
Changes and withdrawals
While entries are open you can go back to an entry and change it, or withdraw a dog.
After the closing date you cannot. That is not stubbornness: at closing, the organizer distributes the dogs to the rings, works out the judging order and the start times, and sends the catalog to print. Everything downstream is built on the list as it stood at that moment.
If something has to change after closing — a dog that cannot come, an error you have just noticed — write to the organizer. An absence told in advance costs the ring nothing; an absence discovered at the ring costs everybody there five minutes.
Cancelled entries and credit
An entry you have already paid is not deleted: the organizer cancels it, and the amount comes back to you as credit.
Ask them if you need one cancelled — you cannot do it from your own pages. It can be done while the entries of that event are still open and the show has not ended.
The money does not return to your card or your bank account, whatever you used to pay. There is no button anywhere that sends it back: it stays with that organizer as credit, and it is applied on its own the next time you enter one of their shows. You will get an email saying how much was credited and what your balance is.
The cancelled entry stays in your list, with the event name crossed out, a cancelled label where the payment method was, and the credited amount instead of the amount to pay. The payment button is gone. The dogs it contained are free to be entered again for the same event.
Where to see your credit
Your account page has two tabs. The first holds your personal details and, under the bank fields, your total credit. The second, credit movements, lists every movement: date, what caused it, the amount, the balance afterwards and the organizer it belongs to.
That last column is the one to read. Credit is held towards one organizer at a time, so the total on the first tab answers "how much do I have altogether", not "how much can I spend at this show". If your credit does not appear when you enter, look at the organizer column: that is nearly always the explanation.
Results and documents
After the show, the results are published under RESULTS OF PREVIOUS SHOWS, on the same home page where the open shows are listed. They are public: you do not have to be signed in to read them.
You will find there what your dog was given — the quality level, the placement in its class, the certificates, and the breed titles where they were won.
Your own entries keep their documents in my entries, and stay there after the show. It is the simplest way to answer, next season, the question of what your dog did last time and in which class it was entered.
